Spice Caves – A Tribal Theme Restaurant – Lucknow, India

Spice Caves: A Place to Watch in Lucknow ‎

When FDS was approached for a theme restaurant in Lucknow, what followed was the first-if-its-kind tribal theme restaurant. Spice Caves is an endeavor to bring out the most clandestine communities through beautifully carved 3D murals and statues and thoughtfully infused earthy ambiance.

Caves, forests and villages being the favorite abode of tribal communities, the restaurant has been gracefully designed to match to the required surroundings. The juxtaposition of large and striking statues of tribes throughout the restaurant is a tribute to these races. Amidst the rock cladding interiors, one is bound to be taken away by a plethora of theme based 3D murals and faces and half statues.

While the ceiling is festooned with artificial greenery, jali work and rock cladding, bamboo furniture has been chosen to stick to the subject. Intricate carvings relevant to the concept have been done optimally on doors. One of the elements that make the restaurant stand out is the wall that encompasses a painstakingly carved giant face of a tribal man oozing fire form his mouth. To add to the appetite of art, giant water curtains have been designed to disperse the machan area from the rest of the restaurant. With the objective to give a rustic look, the machan zone has been bedecked using original bamboos. The sight of the pair of artificial trees acting as the holders of the ceiling of the area contribute to the splendor of the ambiance.

As a respect to guests’ privacy, the seating arrangements have been partitioned creatively; using lots of theme based intricate jali work, rock and artificial lush. The giant aquarium that acts as a divider between the kids’ area and the restaurant beautifully infuses marine life in the rustic caves. The huge 3D tribal faces hung on the walls deeply personifies the races, quietly hidden in a world of their own. Creativity to this extent can only be the produce of the top restaurant designers in India!

The dedicated kids zone is designed in Mogli theme to ensure a delightful spell for children, allowing their parents a carefree and relaxing stint. The use of bright 3D paint stimulates the little ones to indulge in fun.
